Ongoing Work from The Studio of Paul Mullowney, and Mullowney Printing, San Francisco, California
New Studio at 931 Treat Avenue
September first marked the first year anniversary of moving into a new location in the heart of San Francisco's Mission District. 931 Treat is a 1400 square-foot facility where we are now set up for etching, photogravure, silkscreen, and letterpress.
2012 saw the publication of Sandow Birk's Monument to the Constitution, (pictured above, in progress), a major direct gravure etching in nine panels on handmade Japanese paper.
Workshops and exhibitions will be coming soon.

Some Photos Amanda Aymar Sent Me
As high school students, twin sisters Amanda and Katie Aymar interned for us when we had a little print publishing business up the street from here. They went on to art school in Portland and are back on Maui taking a break until they continue their studies at Evergreen State. Very great artists, they have been known to hit the streets of Paia with their creations and have also done some amazing installations in the forests on the slopes of Haleakala--begging the eternal question: 'if there is a temporary string installation in the forest and nobody sees it, is it art??'
