Ongoing Work from The Studio of Paul Mullowney, and Mullowney Printing, San Francisco, California
New Studio at 931 Treat Avenue
September first marked the first year anniversary of moving into a new location in the heart of San Francisco's Mission District. 931 Treat is a 1400 square-foot facility where we are now set up for etching, photogravure, silkscreen, and letterpress.
2012 saw the publication of Sandow Birk's Monument to the Constitution, (pictured above, in progress), a major direct gravure etching in nine panels on handmade Japanese paper.
Workshops and exhibitions will be coming soon.

Two More Days
There is a lot of activity. Printing up a whole bunch of a new image that is scheduled to hit the streets of some Maui town soon, assisted by Katie, Amanda and Kate. The studio is--true to my form--a wreck now, with two big new woodcuts coming together. In the middle of it all I tattooed that little demon guy on Paia Tattoo Parlor co-owner Justin who offered up a space on his foot and mentored me through the whole process with his vast experience of inking skin--an amazing teacher. The tattoo came out okay.
